BLOOMSBURG & SULLIVAN RAILROAD

The Bloomsburg and Sullivan Railroad was a short-line railroad that was 29 miles long, running from Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania northwards following Fishing Creek to Jamison City, Pennsylvania.

The railroad was established in 1883 and construction began in 1886 close to Orangeville, Pennsylvania with construction running North towards Jamison City and South to Bloomsburg.

July 4th 1887 was the first train service that ran from Bloomsburg, PA to Orangeville, PA occurred and by August 1887 the line was completed to Benton, PA. The final length of track to Jamison City, PA was completed and service was inaugurated November 30, 1888.
